Dr. Peter N. Perinchief

Dr. Peter N. Perinchief is a Member of the Brockman Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr. Perinchief has more than 35 years of experience of high risk neonatology and general pediatrics. He trained in both the United States and Canada before founding Edgewood Pediatrics in Bermuda in 1981.

A Bermudian, Dr. Perinchief graduated from Warwick Academy in Bermuda before attending McGill University in Montreal where he gained a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and Ethology.

He attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar at Balliol College, where he read Physiology and was awarded a First, before returning to Canada to attend McGill Medical School, from which he graduated in 1974.

Dr. Perinchief did his pediatric training at the University of Colorado Medical Center in Denver, and at North Shore University Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York, and was awarded a Fellowship in Metabolic Medicine and Endocrinology at both institutions.

A Diplomate and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Perinchief is listed in “Who’s Who” in International Medicine.

His non-academic interests involve classical music and painting.

He was a long-time student of the late British Pianist Professor Geoffrey Tankard of the Royal College of Music and also Phillip Evans of the Manhattan School of Music and Juilliard.

Dr. Perinchief has given solo recitals in Oxford, Montreal, Denver and Bermuda.

His paintings hang in numerous private collections.
